Coromandel Peak Sunrise Elopement | Emily & Tom

As parents, you are probably awake at sunrise anyway, so why not make the most of it and take a helicopter to the top of a mountain to get married?

Emily and Tom chose a simple sunrise elopement on Coromandel Peak with their daughter Frankie there to be part of it all.

As the sun started coming over the mountains, they exchanged vows and rings in a ceremony with Sophie from Married by Friends. It was quiet, relaxed and really just about the three of them.

Frankie did extremely well considering she was only two. There were a few snacks involved while the paperwork was signed and, after all the excitement, she promptly fell asleep on the helicopter ride back down.

Coromandel Peak is an incredible spot for a Wanaka elopement, especially at sunrise when the light is soft and everything feels a little quieter. For Emily and Tom, keeping it small meant they could simply focus on each other and have Frankie right there with them.
